I recently joined the faculty at Fordham University as an Associate Professor of English and the Director of Fordham’s Writing Centers (Lincoln Center and Rose Hill). Previously, I was an Associate Professor of English & Communication at UMass Dartmouth, where I also served as Founding Director of the Writing & Multiliteracy Center. I am the incoming professional editor of The Peer Review journal.
I teach, research, and write in the areas of pop culture studies; digital and social media literacies; and writing center/writing program administration. My current project, Writing Centers and AI: Generating Early Conversations (co-edited with Joshua Botvin) is forthcoming with the WAC Clearinghouse Perspectives on Writing Series. My book, Open-Access, Multimodality, and Writing Center Studies (Palgrave Macmillan, 2017), was a finalist for the 2018 International Writing Centers Association Outstanding Book Award. Chapter Five of this text, where I synthesize conversations with seven writing center scholars, is available open-access.
